FIRE AND BUILDING PERMITS MAY BE REQUIRED!!
IF YOU ARE IN DUVAL COUNTY YOU BETTER PAY ATTENTION TO THE FOLLOWING!!!

If you intend to install racking or shelving, call me first!

If you plan to lease a new warehouse space or remodel your exisiting warehouse, you will be required to have a RACK FIRE PERMIT . Duval County requires a fire permit under the majority of conditions that must be reviewed and signed off by the Fire Marshall and that your system must be in compliance with fire codes and regulations BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE SYSTEM! It is mandatory that a fire permit number be assigned to your system before you can get an occupancy permit. Not just new plans, this is even applicable to existing systems when you add to it!!! I can help with this from design to submission drawings required by the Division and Fire Marshall. Folks, they are not messing around now, don't dare ignore this requirement if you plan to install shelving or racking with or without a sprinkler system! Fire safety is paramount in Duval County.

I have personally completed the permit process for over 50 projects from inception to completion of a project including all documentation, permit and inspections required. It can be very involved and missed steps can be costly. Also, I know of a company that installed the racking without getting the permits and it took them over 4 months, after they moved in to their new space and installed the rack, to be able to put inventory back in their rack system! Please, don't make the same mistake. Under a consulting agreement I can help you with the process and make it fluid and painless.
My fee is consulting based, normally a flat rate and includes all necessary documentation and collection of documentation that is required to apply for a rack fire permit. Normally, the customer only provides the fire engineer findings (I can assist with that) and required fire signs (I have a supplier with agreed pricing). The customer purchases these direct.
